Panettiere plays Claire Bennet on Heroes, an ordinary girl with the extraordinary power of rapid cellular regeneration.
That means everytime Claire is hurt in any way, she recovers instantly without much pain or damage involved.
Panettiere, however, is a different story and admits she’s always afraid someone is going to “stab” her because they actually think she’s indestructible.
She’s had the pointed paranoia since the very first season of Heroes aired, but so far, so good.
Despite being four seasons deep into the series, Panettiere says the special effects continue to astonish her.
She likes to pretend she lends her own blood to the episodes because she doesn’t “understand the effects in the slightest.”
Season four of Heroes premieres tonight (Sep. 21) on NBC.
