The duo play local bureaucrats on the NBC comedy, Parks & Recreation, but admit they sometimes flush government laws completely down the toilet.
Ansari jokes that he and Poehler have a severe public urination problem that leads to many fines.
They both constantly get tickets for their public peeing displays, which familiarizes them with the way city government works.
But Poehler says they do a piss-poor job of handling their fees.
She explains, Everytime we go in to pay our tickets, we just pee in public again. We cant stop.
On the bright side, Poehler says their vicious public urination cycle will keep them in touch with actual government workers for quite some time, which should help them really nail their TV characters.
Season two of Parks & Recreation premieres Thursday (Sep. 17) on NBC.
