Mr. Belding Takes Karaoke Mic

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Saved By The Bell alum Dennis Haskins may be the first ever karaokeing principal.

Haskins, who played Mr. Belding on SBTB, has his own karaoke CD/DVD set coming out Tuesday (Sep. 1).

Karaoke With Your Favorite Principal Dennis Haskins A.K.A. Mr. Belding includes sing-along songs like “School’s Out,” “Brown Eyed Girl,” and “Friends In Low Places.”

Haskins – who broke onto the karaoke scene a few years ago when he sang at a bar – says karaoke is about having fun with friends and “singing your guts out.”

His personal karaoke favorites to get a crowd going include Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline” or Billy Joel’s “Piano Man.”

He likes slowing it down with “What A Wonderful World.”

Through his karaoke music venture, Haskins believes he’s making Mr. Belding proud.

The character sang a couple times on the sitcom – once during the Miss Bayside beauty pageant – and was an aspiring student DJ nicknamed “Big Bopper Belding.”
