Big Gay Ice Cream Truck Keeps It Light

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A gay ice cream man in New York is too busy slanging cones to talk politics during business hours.

Doug Quint owns The Big Gay Ice Cream Truck, a soft serve shop on wheels that typically posts up in Union Square to sell treats.

Though Quint and his truck are gay, he doesn’t discuss tough issues like gay marriage at the ice cream window, he serves ice cream.

He says customers flock to his truck because of the unique toppings he offers, like wasabi pea dust, olive oil, Nutella, coconut and curry powder, and pickles.

Adults and kids alike could care less about his truck’s gay affiliation and charge towards it when they see it pulling up.

Quint likes to keep it “fun and light” at the window because something as sweet as ice cream should never be serious.

Though Quint has had much support from the gay community, he admits gays aren’t his best customers since they’re keen on watching their figures.
