Zombie Jesus is a comic book series created by Ira Hunter that depicts the Messiah as an undead zombie who turns water into blood and eats people instead of bread.
Despite Zombie Jesus’ rough exterior, Hunter says the holy monster has a soft spot for his mother, Mary, who also appears in the comics.
But when Mom isn’t around, Jesus is a complete hellraiser.
He chomps down on his Disciples, gnaws off his own arm, morphs into a zombie-lion hybrid at one point, and battles enemies like “Robot Hitler” and “Vampire Elvis.”
Hunter says Zombie Jesus’ powers seem to have no limits, so he could probably destroy comic book heroes like Batman too.
He explains, “All he needs to do is get one good bite in and it’s over.”
