Zombies Are People Too

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Zombies aren’t just the mindless, flesh-eating monsters that Hollywood makes them out to be.

In fact, author S.G. Browne wants to prove that zombies are people too, and he rallies for equal undead rights in his novel Breathers: A Zombies Lament (Broadway Books), out now.

Breathers follows the story of a recently dead guy named Andy, who turns into a zombie instead of going off to the afterlife and faces the struggles of living in a society where he has no rights whatsoever.

Browne calls his book a “classic story of suffering and redemption, like The Color Purple or the New Testament, only with cannibalism,” and hopes that it will get people to open up their eyes to the plight of the walking dead.

He says, “Zombies are the lowest class of citizen. The have no rights. They can’t vote, have jobs, or have social security. They can’t even go to college or mingle with ‘breathers.’”
