London-based party makers Time For Tea and Bompas and Parr are turning a night of fine food into a high-flying treat with The White Blackbird Aerobanquet.
The dinner is more than a meal. Passengers pile into a bus that takes them to a pretend airplane where they board for a culinary trip that includes stamping fake Visas, putting them through security check, and inspecting their tickets all with a drink in hand.
Through the Aerobanquet, co-creator Sam Bompas hopes to put performance back into fine dining.
After dining on futuristic food like Cubist Vegetable Patch and Geraniums on a Stick, passengers will swerve into a crazy crash landing, where upon evacuation a vintage ambulance will serve up tasty dessert treats.
According to Bompas, the yummy goodies along with music, dancing, and a chorus line of flight attendants will help passengers recover from the horrible fake plane crash.
