According to Debbie Sipe, of the California Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds, camping will be a popular getaway this summer since its one of the only affordable vacations in this economy.
Theres already a 12 percent increase in reservations for campsites across California, and theyre adding luxurious amenities to lure tourists to their land.
The latest campground trends are Wi-Fi service and cable TV, which means theres no longer much roughin it involved.
Sipe says campgrounds are spending thousands on renovations, adding heated swimming pools, skate parks, and even upscale restaurants.
Fancy fitness centers are also springing up on campsites, for those who prefer a Stairmaster over a nature hike.
Sipe says campers expect more extras for their money nowadays especially RV owners who want luxury cabins and organized activities upon arrival.
