Server Chloe Nelson of San Diegos Pearl Hotel reports patrons have been ordering pork chops more than ever.
According to Nelson: Not even one person has asked where it came from. Theyre more concerned with the twice-baked potato that comes with it.
She says people might be ordering more pork because its forbidden and therefore more appetizing.
Meanwhile, the National Pork Producers Council is grunting a sigh of relief.
Spokesman Dave Warren says U.S. pork is perfectly safe to eat and the virus has not been found in any American pork herds.
Warren says eating pig products in no way harms the body because the flu is a respiratory infection and is impossible to catch through ingesting.
