Elvis Fans Want Historical Haircut

FORT SMITH, Ark. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A king’s haircut is hard to come by.

However, Elvis Presley fans do their darndest to get a cut like The King’s by heading down to the Fort Chaffee Barbershop Museum in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, where Elvis got his locks cut off when he enlisted in the Army.

Spokesperson Ivy Owen says hundreds of people “gravitate” to the museum, which is located exactly where Elvis got his hair cut as an Army man, because it was a major moment in the icon’s life.

He says, “People can’t get enough of this place. They want to sit in the chair he sat on and touch the tools used. Many try to get an Elvis G.I. haircut while they’re there but we don’t do that every day. Only once a year on the anniversary.”

That, however, doesn’t stop eager fans from trying to bribe museum workers into giving them an Elvis Army ’do.
