Nudists Attempt To Recreate Woodstock

KISSIMEE, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The 1969 Woodstock fest was all about peace, love, freedom, music, and nakedness.

This August marks 40 years since Woodstock, and the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) is celebrating by inviting all original Woodstock performers to their annual convention August 10-16 at Oaklake Trails Naturist Resort in Depew, Oklahoma.

The nudists are hoping to recreate the “Age Of Aquarius” at their convention and reflect on a time that was incredibly liberating.

AANR member Carolyn Hawkins says Woodstock fueled the nudist movement 40 years ago, which is all about being free.

Hawkins says the commemorative event will be clothing optional, but anticipates plenty of naked attendees because, “Nudists really look forward to the summer months.”

Performers can also drop trou if they want, but Hawkins says that’s entirely up to them and their comfort level.

She says, “We’d be happy if they did!”

Hawkins has sent letters requesting original Woodstock icons like Santana, Jefferson Airplane, The Who, and Grateful Dead join the naked party. The AANR is seeking help from the public to help track down the entire original Woodstock line-up.
