Dennis Hof, owner of the Moonlite Bunny Ranch brothel in Carson City, Nevada, says the economic crisis and sweeping job cuts have lead many professional women to get into the call girl business.
Hof boasts that in December 2008 alone, he received 1,500 applications from women hit hard by the crunch looking to spread their job horizon.
He says, We got applications from Wall Street executives, receptionists, and women from the auto industry. They want to work in the worlds oldest profession. These are extreme times, and this is a big switch for these girls.
However, Hof assures that going from a Wall Street worker to a lady of the night isnt that big of a change because, The only difference is that they dont have to answer the phone.
Though it seems like an extreme job move, Hof insists that being a Bunny Ranch girl is better than working somewhere like Starbucks because they can add an extra zero to their yearly income.
