Ghost Busters: Sage, Salt, & Silence

HOUSTON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – With the right tools, anyone can protect themselves from ghosts on Halloween (Oct. 31).

According to necromancer Lisa Lee Harp Waugh, those who wish to guard themselves against ghosts need provisions like white candles, sage, salt, and vegetables.

She says filling your house with white candles and sage will keep away dark spirits, who happen to hate the scent of both things.

She also suggests putting piles of salt in front of all the doors and windows in your home because, in her words, “Mean spirits don’t like to go across salt. They won’t enter if it’s there.”

Waugh says munching on veggies on Halloween instead of sugary candy will also keep ghosts away.

Since sugar gives people an energy buzz, and ghosts are energy beings, they’re attracted to anyone who’s hopped up on candy and caffeine.

Waugh says it’s also smart to turn off the TV and sit in your house in pure silence, so ghosts won’t come through the tube.
