Regina King Bawls Like A Baby

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actress Regina King’s latest film is a real tear-jerker – even for her!

King – known for her role in Ray – is part of the ensemble cast of Lifetime’s new movie, Living Proof, led by Harry Connick, Jr, which premieres this Saturday (Oct. 18).

The film is the real-life story of a doctor who helped develop the breast cancer drug Herceptin.

King plays a breast cancer patient, a topic that’s near to her heart since she’s had many women close to her fight the disease.

She says watching the finished film made her emotional, and she wound up crying like a baby during the screening.

King admits, “I cried all through the movie! I had snot rags in my purse and I was talking back to the screen! When you think about something that affects so many people, you get angry.”

King says she’s not typically a big crier, but sometimes, she lets it all out.

She laughs, “I don’t tear up easily while filming sad scenes, but give me an old rerun of Silver Spoons and I’m bawling!”
