So says George Davis, spokesperson for the San Francisco Nude Olympics, happening this Sunday (Oct. 5) in the Bay City.
The games challenge naked male and female athletes to compete in events like sumo wrestling, discus, broad jumping, and Greco- Roman wrestling, where the loser gets pinned down.
Davis says, Theyre gonna be climbing all over each other.
For Davis, the nudie event is a tribute to the ancient Greek games, which were played naked, and he believes modern Olympics would benefit from the birthday suit action.
Davis explains, Theres no reason to wear clothes, especially in the traditional games, like discus and swimming. Its more comfortable, natural, and free that way.
Though he believes spectators would enjoy the Olympics more if athletes were nude, Davis can see why modern sports, like basketball and tennis, benefit from protection.
