Labor Day usually means lots of chowing down on fart-fueling foods, but gastroenterologist Dr. Patricia Raymond says the party doesnt have to turn into a butt blow-out.
Dr. Raymond says consuming Labor Day nibbles like baked beans, cole slaw, and beer can produce very smelly stuff, but there is hope for gassy guys and gals.
She says, The only saving grace is that Labor Day parties are usually outdoors. You can pass gas and no one has to know.
Dr. Raymond advises shy public farters to keep their backside loose because, The sound of gas has to do with how tightly you hold in your farts. The looser your sphincter, the less sound it makes.
For those whod rather not rip one in public, Dr. Raymond recommends taking an activated charcoal capsule like CharcoCaps, which absorbs gas and odor, and comes with another added benefit.
She explains, It makes your bowel movements come out black, which is pretty cool.
