Larisa Oleynik Feels The Pain, Makes Her Tear Up

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actress Larisa Oleynik’s motto on the set should be “no pain, no gain.”

Oleynik – best known for her teen queen roles in The Secret World of Alex Mack and 10 Things I Hate About You – stars in Pope Dreams, a drama about a family dealing with the death of their mom.

Portraying someone going through serious pain was easy for Oleynik, particularly because she had food poisoning the day she shot her most dramatic scene in the flick.

She had to comfort and cry with her onscreen brother, and admits her tears were the result of a painful stomach ache.

Oleynik says, “I think my food poisoning helped the drama develop in that scene. I was hurting for a second there!”

This isn’t the first time Oleynik has experienced “weird circumstances” while filming.

Once when she was shooting a running scene for Alex Mack, she got sick to her stomach and puked.

She says, “They yelled ‘Cut’ and I just kept running until I found a trash can to throw up in!”

Pope Dreams comes out on DVD tomorrow (Aug. 26).
