Judy Reyes Impresses Friends With Once In A ‘Lifetime’ Role

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actress Judy Reyes has her friends crying tears of joy over her new tear-jerking project.

Reyes – best known as sassy nurse Carla Espinosa on Scrubs – is starring in a new Lifetime Movie Network film called Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story, and her friends couldn’t be happier about her foray into drama.

She says her girlfriends are devoted Lifetime movie fans and freaked out when they heard she’d be a leading lady on the network.

Reyes says, “All my friends in New York City were like, ‘Oh my God, you’re doing Lifetime!’ They’re very excited.”

Reyes herself has never had enough time to become a die-hard Lifetime movie buff but says some of her favorite actresses have starred in the network’s notoriously dramatic flicks.

She’s thrilled to be expanding her acting range and says this film is especially moving because it’s based on a true story about a mother who’s separated from her child after a suspicious fire.

Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story premieres this Sunday (Aug. 17) on Lifetime Movie Network.
