They’ve Created A Monster!

BURBANK, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Monster making is child’s play.

Todd Tucker and Harvey Lowry are the co-owners of Drac Studios, a special effects makeup and creature shop behind hundreds of high-profile Hollywood projects.

They’re responsible for turning Robin Williams into Mrs. Doubtfire and Dustin Hoffman into Hook, creating the pirates’ looks in Pirates of the Caribbean, and making up the monsters in Van Helsing and Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

But while they indulge their inner child at work – Lowry calls it “the ultimate kids job” – their actual kids aren’t at all freaked out by their monstrous gig.

Lowry has a three-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son, and he says, “They’re immune to it. They weren’t even scared by the Frankenstein from Van Helsing.”

Tucker – who also plays many of the monsters on screen himself – says, “I once came home in full werewolf makeup. My daughter saw me asleep on the couch, and went and got a bowl of cereal! She wasn’t scared at all!”
