Audrey Hepburn Was The Original Bono

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Elegant icon Audrey Hepburn was the original celebrity humanitarian.

That’s the do-gooder dirt from Pamela Keogh, author of What Would Audrey Do? (Gotham Books), a book that teaches modern women how to live life with the timeless grace and style that Hepburn possessed.

Besides her iconic fashion sense, Hepburn was beloved for having an incredibly giving heart, which she showed through her devoted, selfless work with UNICEF.

According to Keogh, Hepburn was the original celeb saint – way before the likes of Bono, Angelina Jolie, and Brad Pitt came along.

Keogh explains, “Audrey was the first one to give a damn about Africa. She hopped on a little plane and flew there to help, no publicity involved. It wasn’t her and the entire crew of Entertainment Tonight like it is with many stars today.”

Keogh believes some modern-day celebs have carried on the graceful, natural style and genuine attitude of Hepburn, including Natalie Portman, Oprah, and Nicole Kidman.
