‘My Name Is Earl’ Set Full Of Laugh Breaks

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It’s hard to keep a straight face on the set of My Name Is Earl.

That’s the scoop from series star Jason Lee and creator Greg Garcia, who say that laugh breaks are typical on the set of My Name Is Earl, especially after working all day long.

Garcia explains, “Sometimes we end up working an extra hour because we can’t stop laughing [long enough to film a scene]. Jason and Ethan [Suplee] will just be dying laughing, or Jamie [Pressley] will get through half of her lines and then correct herself.”

Lee adds, “We all like to poke fun. I like to give Jamie [Pressley] fake pep talks between her takes. But we know how to keep it together so laughing doesn’t interfere with our work too much.”

The “brotherly love” between onscreen brothers Lee and Suplee also keeps the crew entertained.

Garcia says, “Jason and Ethan will squeeze each other’s hands, so hard, until one of them gives. It’s very funny.”

My Name Is Earl airs Thursdays on NBC.
