Dr. Richard Fleming is a cosmetic surgeon in Beverly Hills, California, who says recession proofing your face by having non-invasive cosmetic procedures done is crucial during tough economic times.
Because the job market is so competitive during a recession, good looks can mean the difference between getting a job or promotion over other qualified candidates.
Fleming says, Appearance counts. You have to sell yourself in todays job market. Better looking people are more successful, especially in the corporate world.
To recession proof your face, Fleming suggests having simple, rejuvenating procedures done like Liquid Facelifts, which use Botox and fillers to remove wrinkles.
He also suggests seeing an esthetician who can give you facial peels and skin treatments so your face looks fresh, not like youre tired or hungover.
Browlifts and cheeklifts are another option, as theyll open up your eyes and give your cheeks a boost to make you look younger.
And although spending money on cosmetic procedures during an economic slump doesnt sound smart, Fleming says its worth it.
The non-invasive treatments cost between $250 to $3,000, but will pay for themselves and then some if you get that promotion.
