Gretchen Mol’s Latest Role: Happy Mom

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Acclaimed actress Gretchen Mol is reaping the big screen benefits of her new baby.

Mol – best known for The Notorious Bettie Page and 3:10 to Yuma – has a six-month-old son, Ptolemy John Williams, and the tiny tot played a big, personal part in her latest role.

In the Lifetime TV movie The Memory Keeper’s Daughter, Mol plays a mother who believes she’s lost a daughter during childbirth, and she says, “All the hormonal stuff new moms go through, I put it right into the story. I don’t know how I could’ve done this role without being a mom.”

Since filming wrapped, Mol has taken a break to hang at home with her baby boy, and while she’s excited about the heartwarming TV tale, she doesn’t expect her son to go gaga over seeing his mama on screen.

Mol says, “He’s still so little. It’s on past his bedtime!”

The Memory Keeper’s Daughter premieres tomorrow (Apr. 12) on Lifetime Television.
