As the star of the hit comedy series 30 Rock, Tina Fey admits shes happy playing the role of Liz Lemon, and has no plans to bring any of her political preferences to the TV table.
Fey who used to host the politically-charged Weekend Update segment on Saturday Night Live says, I dont want to do news humor. Its a lot of pressure, I prefer just telling stories and being in character.
And while she appears on the April issue of Vanity Fair in the magazines push to recognize the talents of female comedians, Fey isnt feeling the pressure to carry the comedy torch.
She says, There are so many women succeeding in comedy. Im not the Face of ladies in comedy.
New episodes of 30 Rock start tonight (Apr. 10) on NBC.
