Elizabeth Berkley: ‘I Came Out Of The Womb Dancing’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actress Elizabeth Berkley was born to boogie.

Berkley – best known for her roles on Saved By The Bell and Showgirls – is hosting Bravo’s new reality dance competition, Step It Up & Dance, a perfect gig for her since she’s a dancing queen.

Berkley has been busting a move since she was a tiny tot, and has been told by her mom that she “came out of the womb dancing.”

She says, “I started dancing when I was about four, and was trained in ballet, tap, and jazz. My grandfather and I would dance all the time, and I would mimic Shirley Temple’s moves around the house! Dance is in my bones and in my blood.”

Berkley’s passion for dance is something she’s shared for years with her old Saved By The Bell co-star Mario Lopez, who coincidentally just finished hosting the debut season of MTV’s own dance competition, Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew.

She adds, “I’m so happy for Mario. I can’t wait to see him dance in A Chorus Line on Broadway!”

Step It Up & Dance premieres April 3 on Bravo.
