Actor Learns To Steal Cars, Gets Own Car Stolen

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actor Erik Palladino got a taste of his own carjacking medicine after completing his latest film role.

Palladino – best known for his role on ER – plays a professional car thief working undercover for the FBI in the new Spike TV movie Crash & Burn.

To prepare for his role, Palladino got tips from real life car thieves, but unfortunately, his stealing skills didn’t prevent his own car from being jacked.

About three months after filming wrapped for Crash & Burn, Palladino’s beloved, classic 1968 Camaro was stolen from the driveway of his home in Los Angeles, in plain daylight.

He explains, “My friends were inside my house and everything. I thought they were playing a prank on me, but it was really gone. I couldn’t believe it. I had just played a car thief and I still got my car stolen! That thing was my baby!”

Palladino’s ’68 Camaro was his childhood “dream car,” and was a surprise wedding present from his wife just a few years ago.

When he filed a police report with the LAPD, he told them to put out an APB and they laughed at him, but Palladino has a backup plan.

He jokes, “I want to get the cast of Dragnet on the case!”

Crash & Burn premieres this Sunday (Mar. 30) on Spike TV.
