Dennis Miller Talks Game Shows

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Funnyman Dennis Miller misses the good ol’ days of classic TV game shows.

Miller is the host of the new NBC comedy quiz show Amne$ia, in which contestants are challenged to answer questions from their own lives.

And while the TV titan is enjoying his own game show gig, he’s still a fan of the older game shows that paved the way.

Miller cites the 1960s quiz show G.E. College Bowl as his favorite because of its “fun, retro feel,” and says he enjoyed watching game show queen Kitty Carlisle make appearances on it.

He’d like to see College Bowl return to the airwaves, but with one simple change.

Miller says, “I’d want to have JuCo College Bowl instead, where the contestants are from a bunch of junior colleges instead of just geniuses from Princeton; for more of an every man feel.”

Miller also enjoys The Newlywed Game and host Bob Eubanks, particularly because of the awesomely awkward classic game show moment when Eubanks asked female contestants, “Where’s the weirdest place you’ve ever gotten the urge to make whoopee?” and one contestant answered, “In the a.”

Amne$ia premieres tonight (Feb. 22) on NBC.
