No Favorites On New Season Of ‘Survivor’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The next crop of Survivor castaways won’t be getting any special treatment from host Jeff Probst.

Survivor: Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites is pitting past competitors against die-hard fans of the show, and while Probst is familiar with the former castaways, he isn’t choosing sides.

Probst says, “I have a history with them, but I’m completely objective. I certainly don’t root for them – a good season would be to lose one person from each tribe every week.”

Probst also dishes on one controversial castaway Jonny Fairplay, who’s returning to the game.

He says, “He’s not my favorite person, but he’s great for the show.”

And while the new competitors will be fighting to stay in seclusion, Probst’s decision to stay is a little easier.

He says, “I get to travel the world, host one of the best shows on TV, and I get paid more than any college dropout should ever make!”

Survivor: Micronesia premieres February 7 on CBS.
