Supernatural Pub Crawl Offers Spooky Spirits

OAK PARK, Ill. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One group pub crawl in Oak Park, Illinois, is giving tourists a taste of truly spooky spirits.

Chicago-based ghost hunter Richard Crowe runs a tour that takes people on a supernatural pub crawl of the area’s most haunted bars and restaurants.

The pub crawl visits several locations, and Crowe says the sites won’t disappoint ghost seekers.

One of the stops is The Red Lion Pub – Chicago’s most haunted pub – which Crowe says offers plenty of paranormal activity including phantom footsteps, strange noises, and “smoky sightings.”

One time during a tour stop there, Crowe and his paranormal posse were scared out of their wits.

Crowe says he and the group heard a woman’s piercing screams coming from the bathroom in the building, but when they checked inside, there wasn’t a soul in sight.

Another stop on the pub crawl is Ethyl’s Party, a gangster-lore infested bar that was once an old funeral home.

And The Billy Goat Bar & Grill is a scary stop for baseball buffs.

In 1945, the owner of the bar was refused entry into Wrigley Field because he was with his pet goat. The man is said to have cursed the Chicago Cubs and they haven’t been to a World Series since.
