Meat Loaf Stands Up To Hot Shot Hosts

AGOURA HILLS, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Hosting a game show is a laughing matter for rocker Meat Loaf.

Rock & A Hard Place is a new game show featuring musical heavyweights like The Pussycat Dolls, Grandmaster Flash, and Eddie Money going against one another in various trivia challenges.

But the host, revered rocker Meat Loaf, isn’t interested in outsmarting his guests.

Meat Loaf says, “I’ve always been a closet stand-up comedian. I don’t want to be serious or sell an album, I just want to be funny!”

Although shows like Deal or No Deal and The Price Is Right also have humorous hosts, Meat Loaf stays one sarcastic note ahead.

He says, “If the contestants are stupid, I tell them so. I don’t have to be Drew [Carey] or Howie [Mandel].

And while he used Mandel as a model of how much he could pace on set, he still has some sarcastic, silly words for the game- show guru.

He says, “It’s not like ‘Pick a case.’ That’s easy – this show is much harder.”

Rock and A Hard Place premieres today (Jan. 23) on DirecTV channel The 101.
