Wilson Phillips Singers Choose Babies Over Tour Buses

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Fans of 1990s pop trio Wilson Phillips may have to wait a little longer for a reunion.

That’s the song being sung by Carnie Wilson – member of Wilson Phillips, best known for their songs, “Hold On” and “You’re In Love” – who says right now, the girl group is choosing motherhood over making music together.

Says Wilson: “I have a two-year-old daughter, my sister Wendy [Wilson] has four boys, and Chynna [Phillips] has three kids. We don’t have time for much!”

The pop trio briefly reunited in 2004 for an album of classic cover songs called California, but Wilson says they were all bitten by the baby bug soon after recording.

Wilson explains, “The reunion album did really well and we were primed for a big comeback tour, but then Wendy and Chynna got pregnant and we couldn’t do it. They got knocked up, so then I got knocked up too!”

And while they haven’t been singing together lately, Wilson assures that the girl group is closer than ever.

She adds, “Our kids are all very close in age, so they love playing together. Next time, our kids will have to tour with us!”

Wilson’s new solo holiday album, Christmas With Carnie, is now available.
