‘Pros’ Stand Strong – Mostly – Against Regular ‘Joes’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Two retired all-star athletes are tackling their newest televised challenge in very different ways.

Pros vs. Joes is a show that pits regular guys against celebrated sports stars in a variety of challenges, and for this season’s battle, featuring Hall-of-Fame quarterback Warren Moon and NBA all-star Nick Van Exel among other sports legends, suiting up again is a ballin’ breeze – at least for one of them.

Van Exel says, “I’m not worried. They have to get real, real lucky – I’ve been doing this since I was five years old.”

But despite his NFL Hall-of-Fame status, Moon isn’t as confident.

He says, “You always worry because you’re competing against guys 20-years younger. You don’t want to be embarrassed on national TV!”

But when it comes to playing one another, Van Exel and Moon have nothing but respect.

Van Exel says, “Just like he wouldn’t last on the court, I wouldn’t last on the football field.”

And Moon sums it up, saying, “Nick is a feisty little guy.”

Pros vs. Joes will air in January 2008 on Spike TV.
