World’s Largest Disco Pulls Out All The 70s Stops

BUFFALO, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you want a super-sized slice of the 70s, put on your platforms and roam over to Buffalo, New York.

The 14th Annual World’s Largest Disco is boogying into town this Saturday (Nov. 24), and for the giant gala – which gets down annually on the Saturday after Thanksgiving – 7,000 party people will pull out all the 70s stops.

Chairman and founder Dave Pietrowski says, “It’s a tremendous people-watching event. People are dressed like The Love Boat and CHiPs characters, and Village People and Evel Knievel. They cover the whole spectrum.”

But don’t look for Pietrowski and his employees to be done up in disco duds.

He says, “The staff used to dress up, but nobody could find us. They’d say, ‘Look for the guy in the blue leisure suit,’ but everyone’s in a blue leisure suit!”

With tickets to the dance technically sold out, Pietrowski advises eager partiers – including his own family – to check eBay for additional tickets.

He says, “7,000 tickets sold out in 20 minutes. My mom calls me every day asking me to do her a favor for someone in her office!”
