MASH Actor Gets Mushy Over Christmas

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – MASH alum Jamie Farr has spent many Holiday seasons in sunny California, but none compare to his down-home holidays in the Midwest.

Farr – best known for playing cross-dressing Corporal Klinger on MASH in the 70s and 80s – is starring in a new Hallmark Channel TV film called A Grandpa For Christmas, and says the seasonal movie made him get all warm and fuzzy about the holidays.

Farr explains, “I’m originally from Ohio and my wife is from Illinois, so we’re real suckers for the holidays because we remember our white Christmases as kids. We’re corny, Midwest Christmas lovers, but we can’t help it!”

And Farr knows exactly why Christmas still brings a smile to his face.

He says, “It’s a season filled with memories that you just can’t shake, even as an adult.”

A Grandpa For Christmas premieres Saturday (Nov. 24) on The Hallmark Channel.
