Nobody’s Doggin’ John O’Hurley

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One celebrity canine commentator is doing just fine avoiding real life frantic fans.

John O’Hurley – best known as the voracious and vocal J. Peterman on Seinfeld – is hosting The National Dog Show presented by Purina on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 22) on NBC, but when it comes to his own fans, O’Hurley says nobody’s doggin’ him.

He says, “I gave up anonymity a long time ago, but luckily I can just give people a smile without them wanting to grab the clothes off of me!”

And O’Hurley rewards the favor by behaving himself.

He says, “My first dog was a Dachshund named Taffy. Unfortunately, Taffy had a penchant for our mailman. I learned that you’re not supposed to bite mailmen, and to this day, I haven’t bitten one!”

And while O’Hurley confesses to once having cats, he assures canine contest fans that he’s a dog man at heart.

He says, “I’ve always been a dog person. I had cats once, but they were Himalayan, because they were the closest things to dogs!”
