Guitar Guru Lets Daughter Hog The Spotlight

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One guitar hero is helping his daughter find some famous friends – and playing pranks along the way.

Richie Kotzen has strummed the strings for Poison and opened up for The Rolling Stones, and now he’s using his connections to show his daughter the celebrity spotlight.

Kotzen – who performed at San Diego’s 61st Annual Mother Goose Parade this past Sunday (Nov. 18), on a bill which also featured teen sensation Drake Bell – recently arranged a lunch for his 10-year-old daughter, August, to meet the Nickelodeon star.

He says, “At first, she was like, ‘I can’t believe it!’ But then all of a sudden it was like she knew him for years! We even went to his house after.”

And while Kotzen was on his daughter’s good side for a while, a prank he pulled on her may get him into some real teen drama.

He explains, “She really likes the Jonas Brothers. I was on the phone with my manager and I joked that we were going to meet the Jonas Brothers. She got really mad when she found out it wasn’t true. Now I’ll have to make it her Christmas present!”
