‘Project Runway’ Stars Urge Personal, Comfortable Style

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Style gurus Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn love forward fashion, but they say personal, comfortable style is even better than designer duds.

Klum and Gunn – who host and mentor up-and-coming designers in the hit series Project Runway – agree that the key to a solid style is to “dress how you want” and “be comfortable with yourself.”

Gunn explains, “It’s great to have personal, unique style that allows you to be you. You should always wear what you want and own your look, because then you can navigate the world with both style and confidence.”

And Gunn is sticking to his guns when it comes to being committed to your threads.

He adds, “People should accept responsibility for what they wear, whether it’s good, bad, or indifferent. You have to stand behind your fashion statement.”

Klum agrees, recalling times when she’s been called out for her own fashion choices on the red carpet.

Klum says, “I’ve been on plenty of ‘Don’t’ fashion pages [in magazines] and most of the time I still like what I’m wearing! Individual style is very important, no matter what.”

The fourth season of Project Runway premieres tomorrow night (Nov. 14) on Bravo.
