Marley Music Man ‘Stirs It Up’ With Unexpected Tastes

CHANTILLY, Va. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One of Bob Marley’s music making sons is bumping some surprising songs when he’s off-stage.

Ky-Mani Marley is currently on a nationwide tour opening for reformed rockers Van Halen, and while Marley rocks the reggae during his show, when he makes his “Exodus” off stage, his stereo bumps some unexpected songs.

Marley loves soul men like Ray Charles and Sam Cooke, but says, “I like Kenny Rogers. I just bought his greatest hits record three weeks ago...again!”

Marley also confesses his love for piano prince Elton John, and even adds, “At one point, I was a big George Michael and Bon Jovi fan.”

In fact, it’s fans’ misconceptions about Marley that allow him to mess with people’s musical minds.

He says, “I used to get upset about being stereotyped, but now it’s okay – people expect one thing and I give them the opposite.”

Marley’s tour hits Worcester, Massachusetts, tomorrow (Nov. 6).
