Game Show Legend Won’t Pick Up A Gong

LAS VEGAS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The Gong Show alum Jamie Farr is hitting the game show circuit again, but this time, he’s not planning on giving anyone the gong.

Farr – best known for his role as Klinger on MASH, and as a panelist on the 1970s game show, The Gong Show – is joining forces with game show legends Bob Eubanks and Chuck Woolery in a live stage show called the $250,000 Game Show Spectacular at the Las Vegas Hilton beginning Monday (Oct. 8).

During each show, the classic hosts will be giving away more money and prizes than any live game show in recent history to 50 unsuspecting winners, and Farr says no matter how intense the game gets, he won’t be urged to bust out his signature gong for any of the contestants.

Says Farr: “I’m excited to help host, and I don’t think anyone will tempt me to gong them like old times. I’ve seen so many bad acts in my lifetime that if I never pick up a mallet to gong someone again, it’ll be too soon! I just want to help people have fun and win.”
