Chaka Khan Turns Off Her Radio

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Legendary soul songstress Chaka Khan has been making music for decades, but when it comes to laying down tracks, she turns off her radio.

Chaka – best known for her diva-licious hits, “I’m Every Woman” and “Tell Me Something Good” – is releasing her first new studio album in more than 10 years, titled Funk This, on September 25, and is keeping her new music fresh by turning off her radio dial.

Chaka explains, “I don’t listen to the radio and I only have a few albums that I put on for inspiration. I don’t like listening to much music because my ears need to stay clean. I can’t let myself be influenced by crap on the radio.”

Instead of tuning into the latest Britney Spears jam, Chaka uses her own experiences and feelings to come up with new songs.

She says, “I live out of a suitcase, so my own crazy life has always inspired my music. That, and some real fed up relationships!”

And when it comes to former pop princess Britney Spears trying to make fresh music, Chaka has some simple comeback advice.

The powerhouse singer says, “Be true to yourself and stop trippin’!”
