New ‘Bionic Woman’ Hones Her Action Skills

VANCOUVER, B.C. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – British actress Michelle Ryan plays the Bionic Woman in the new, reimagined TV series, and she’s absolutely loving being indestructible.

Ryan – best known for her work on the long-running British soap EastEnders – says even if it’s hard work, she’s digging her action sequences, fight scenes, and stunts as the powerful Jaime Sommers in Bionic Woman.

Ryan says, “I get to do lots of dynamic stunts like flying spinning kicks while hoisted up in harnesses. I’m a real adrenaline junkie though, so I love doing my own stunts.”

But Ryan doesn’t delve into the action blindly, in fact, she has some skills of her own that have helped her become a stunt pro.

She explains, “I’m very flexible and my dance training comes in handy, especially when I’m doing running, jumping, and fighting scenes. I can keep up with the sharp moves.”

And Ryan is truly committed to making an action-packed splash on the show – literally.

She adds, “I’ve already fought in the freezing cold rain, but I’m still excited for more water action sequences!”

Bionic Woman premieres September 26 on NBC.
