‘High School Musical 2’ Has Kids Dreaming Of Broadway

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The popular Disney Channel film High School Musical 2 has kids everywhere dying for a chance to dance in the halls like breakout star Zac Efron.

According to Brad Vincent, Assistant Principal for Drama and Technical Theatre at New York’s Famed LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, it’s not just the drama students anymore that are eager to strut their stuff on stage.

Vincent says, “There are already high schools where kids sing show tunes down the hallway. High School Musical has helped musicals become more popular and more kids are getting involved.”

And following in the fancy footsteps of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers could have kids dancing on much bigger stages than the ones in their high school auditoriums.

Vincent says, “If children get turned on to musical programming early on, they could turn into the next Broadway superstars. We’ll always have Broadway, and we’ll always need stars for it.”
