‘Human Weapon’ Faces Pint-Sized Challenge

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – For the host of a new martial arts TV show, the scariest opponent may be the smallest.

As the host of the History Channel’s Human Weapon, actor and professional fighter Jason Chambers travels around the world, including Malaysia, Cambodia, and Israel, getting his kicks – and bruises – by learning each region’s traditional fighting style.

But there’s no green screen for this ass-kicking host.

So far, Chambers has suffered sprained ankles, a 12-inch bruise on his thigh, and busted knees and fingers.

He says, “You haven’t seen a hospital ’til you’ve seen a third-world hospital, where the doctor is wearing a baseball hat and sweatpants.”

But on the home-front, the dangers are a little different.

Chambers says aside from a few joking jabs, nobody messes with him – except for one testy teenager.

He says, “Some 14-year-old kid sent me a message saying he wanted to fight me.”

He jokes, “Yeah, I’d go fight him, the Disney Channel would love it if I beat up their core audience!”

Human Weapon airs Fridays.
