American Idol Rejects Reflect

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It was tears and trash- talking for the first round of American Idol rejects yesterday (July 30), in San Diego.

The auditions were held at Qualcomm Stadium, and drew more than 12,000 people, many of whom had been perfecting their pipes since 3 AM.

But it was more than lack of sleep that was wearing down these wannabes.

One rejected singer says, “The judges weren’t even paying attention. The people that got through sucked.”

Another disappointed diva, whose rendition of Michael Buble’s “Everything” landed her in losers lane, says, “It was really fun, but the judges were looking for a specific thing. They wanted a triple threat, someone who could sing, dance, and act. I’ve been singing since I was three, and for them to show no interest is surprising.”

But not everyone is giving up hope.

One crooning cast-off says, “I don’t care. I’m America’s Next Top Model, baby!”
