Ultimate Fighting Champion Gets Bucked By A Grandpa

LAS VEGAS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Ultimate Fighting Champion Josh “Bring The Pain” Haynes tears it up in the ring, but recently, the fighter got taken to the ground by a bullying grandpa.

Haynes is starring in CMT’s new reality series, Ty Murray’s Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge, where he and other celebs test their buckin’ bull ridin’ skills for a chance to compete at an official Professional Bull Riders event in Nashville, Tennessee.

While Haynes took the competition by the horns, he admits there was one thing standing between him and bull riding success – a 2,000-pound bull named “Grandpa.”

Says Haynes: “I rode this old, bastard bull named Grandpa about eight times, and every time, he would kick my butt and knock me off in no time. I couldn’t believe I kept getting beat by an old man! We were rivals and all I wanted was to buy him so I could make a pair of boots out of him!”

Although Haynes got plenty of bumps and bruises from his battles with the bull, in the end, Grandpa taught Haynes a valuable lesson that he will carry into the UFC ring.

Haynes explains, “Bull riding changed my entire outlook on fighting. I rode a 2,000-pound animal with hoves and horns and lived through it, so when I see a 185-pound guy in the ring I’m ready to take him on. It definitely made me a better athlete.

Ty Murray’s Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge premieres August 10th.
