Even The Beach Boys Get Starstruck

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Former Beach Boy David Marks was in the rockin’ surf band in the 60’s, but even then, the Beach Boys got starstruck sometimes.

That’s the note being sung by Marks – who was one of the founding members of the Beach Boys – and says that with all the celebrities the band met, they were bound to get starstruck.

Says Marks: “We were young, teenage boys touring and meeting our idols. We were in awe when we met Stevie Wonder and Chuck Berry. We were even starstruck when we met Eric Clapton’s band!”

But despite their admiration, Marks says he and the boys eventually found the courage to chat with their idols.

Marks explains, “After a while we were forward and approached famous artists with no worries because we became stars too. After we started getting pinned up by a bunch of fanatical girls at shows, the shyness was gone.”

Marks reveals more of his experiences as a Beach Boy in the new book The Lost Beach Boy (Virgin Books), available on his website at
