Taye Diggs Performs For Peanuts

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Daybreak actor Taye Diggs may be making the big bucks nowadays, but once upon a time in “The Happiest Place On Earth,” Diggs performed for peanuts.

According to New York-based gossip reporter Baird Jones, before Diggs was a Hollywood hunk, he began his performing career as a singer at Tokyo Disneyland in Japan.

Diggs – who made his surprising confession to Jones at a party for ESPN magazine this past Wednesday night (June 6), says his Disneyland gig wasn’t always a dream come true, but he made do.

He explains, “I was covered in bananas as part of my cabaret act. But I had a great time and I made a bunch of money.”

And while Diggs may have been a great performer, he admits that not everyone dug his act.

Diggs adds, “I never got a single tip. I figure that was okay though, because strippers get tips, not regular performers.”
