Kyra Sedgwick Doesn’t ‘Close’ The Deal At Home

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actress Kyra Sedgwick gets criminals to confess on her show, The Closer – but she’s no interrogation expert when it comes to dealing with her own family.

That’s the verdict from Sedgwick, who admits she can’t always channel her tough, police chief character from The Closer at home to keep her husband, Kevin Bacon, and their kids in line.

Says Sedgwick: “I’m not really a closer myself. But I don’t really think my kids or husband need interrogating when they get home.”

And while Sedgwick keeps the grilling to her on-screen gig, there are moments when the actress does find herself similar to her chocolate-obsessed character, Brenda Lee Johnson.

She explains, “I catch myself being sickeningly nice to people when I want something, and I think ‘This is so Brenda.’ I relate to Brenda; I feel protective over her quirks and flaws, and her genius.”

The third season of The Closer premieres June 18.
