Judge Won’t Shed A Tear For Fledgling Filmmakers

HOLLYWOOD (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Hollywood director Garry Marshall doesn’t bite like Simon Cowell, but to some eager moviemakers, he’s still a tough judge.

Marshall – who just produced Lindsay Lohan’s George Rule – is currently a judge on Fox’s On The Lot, a reality show which hopes to find the next big Tinseltown director.

But life on the judge’s panel is much different than behind the camera.

Marshall confesses, “Every contestant has a sob story. That’s hard for me, I’m not into all that crying.”

But Marshall insists he’s not as mean as the saucy Simon Cowell and adds, “I feel like Scrooge telling someone they aren’t all that good!”

On The Lot follows So You Think You Can Dance on Mondays but don’t worry, Marshall has no plans to jump ship.

He explains, “I like to watch the dancers in their costumes, but I don’t know anything about dancing. I know directing.”
