Reality Show Fame Both A Blessing And Curse For ‘God Warrior’

PONCHATOULA, La. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Being a reality show superstar can be a blessing and a curse when you’re self- proclaimed “God Warrior” Marguerite Perrin.

She has become a cult celebrity after appearing twice on the Fox series Trading Spouses where her hardline religious views caused conflicts with her host families.

Perrin says when her episodes first aired, “it wasn’t a blessing,” and admits she “hated how it came down.”

As she puts it, “It wasn’t a matter of editing. I WAS angry on the show, but I’m more than just ranting and raving.”

Perrin says she wanted to hide away from the world for three weeks, but realized “God has a sense of humor,” and decided “to pull up my big girl panties and deal with it.”

Dealing with it meant watching someone make a “God Warrior” bobblehead that was eventually purchased by Jay Leno, and to make appearances on shows like Tyra Banks.

In her words, “Tyra probably wanted to pounce, but I took it a different way. I’m not as intolerant as I came off.”

Perrin’s second appearance on Trading Spouses airs tonight (Apr. 12) and next Thursday (Apr. 19), but says she’s not sure if there will be another appearance even though she’s heard “...the third time is the charm.”
